Questions about learning online

Something else on your mind? We’re happy to help.

How do online lessons work?

Lessons are live and in real time, not pre-recorded. Students meet their tutor over video, work through problems on a shared digital whiteboard, and practice between sessions with materials chosen for their plan.

What do we need for online lessons?

A computer or tablet with a camera and microphone, a stable internet connection, and a quiet place to work. Headphones help. We’ll send a short setup guide before the first session.

Is the baseline assessment online too?

Yes. The assessment is a live video session where we look at current skills, strengths, challenges and goals, then talk through a personalized plan. Contact us to discuss the format, availability and any applicable fee.

Can younger students learn online?

Yes. Sessions for younger learners are shorter and more interactive, and a parent can help with setup at the start. We’ll recommend a format that suits your child’s age and attention span.

Do you offer one-on-one tutoring?

Yes. One-on-one online tutoring gives individual attention focused on the learner’s needs and goals. Small online group classes are also available.

How often should my child attend tutoring?

Frequency depends on starting skills, goals, school workload and any testing timeline. We discuss an appropriate plan with you after understanding the student’s needs.
